Wedding

Anniversary

Chuck and I were engaged September 3, 2011 in the most cliche fashion possible: on a beach, under the moonlight {An Engagement Story}. I cried, hugged his neck and promptly began thinking about what my wedding would look like. I was not exactly the kind of girl who had spent her entire life planning her dream wedding. In fact, I never believed I would even fall in love, let alone be someone's wife.

When I started to think about how much money we'd be spending and picturing myself in a poofy, white dress I began to think, {I Don't Want a Wedding!}. But as time went on, I began to realize I could make our day look however I wanted it to. So as the planning commenced we got some {Engagement Pictures} taken, I asked my favorite ladies if they'd do me the honor of standing beside me as my {Bridesmaids} and started to figure out the tricks of {Wedding Planning 101}.

Two months before the big day, my Mommy hosted an adorably-themed Mad Hatter Tea Party in my honor.

We all dressed up in our Wonderland-inspired ensembles, ate some delicious hors d'ouevres and played some hilarious games. I had some feelings of {Wedding Guilt} and sadness about my {Daddy-less Wedding Day}. Fortunately, I had so many uplifting and encouraging people surrounding me who helped me to embrace what was to come: my marriage to the best person in the entire world.

Two days before, my best friends threw me one heck of a pin-up themed "Fling Before the Ring."

I awoke on {Rehearsal Day} to excitement, anxiousness, and a little bit of chaos. Although I had planned an outdoor farm wedding for 120+ guests, the tail end of Hurricane Isaac had other plans.

The next day while we were getting read, I was at peace with our change of plans.

Rain or shine, I was marrying my best friend. My Mommy walked me down the aisle to the sweet, upbeat sounds of Home by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes and our dear friend/Pastor officiated our ceremony.

We had such talented and amazing friends helping us out- with Dani Byrd capturing all our blessed moments on film and John Cropper shooting an amazing video which he managed to edit in two hours and show at our reception.

We left for our {Honeymoon} feeling incredibly in love, so blessed by our {Family} and the friends that made our day the memorable, beautiful and perfect day that it was.

But most of all, psyched to spend the rest of our lives as Mr. & Mrs. Stuckert.
