When I took my maternity leave with my second baby I had every intention of returning to work. My husband and I were not exactly well-off. As the weeks dwindled down, however, I knew we had to do whatever we needed to so that I could become a stay-at-home Mom. We drastically pared down our budget and I tearfully submitted my letter of resignation to the supervisor whom I adored. I loved my job and I knew there would be days ahead when I wondered whether I made the right choice. But I never anticipated just how much becoming a SAHM was going to mess with my head.
