13 Bloggers to Read in 2013 [Part Three]

I've been wanting to highlight some of my favorite blogs for some time now. There's some really special ladies out there who deserve to be recognized for the hard work they put into their blogs and for the love and light they put into the universe. Inspired by Helene's Best Blogger of 2012, I decided it was finally time!

Some of these ladies are personal friends of mine (though I'm not disclosing which ones; I don't want my bias  to deter anyone from checking them out!). Some of these are ladies I've followed since I entered the bloggy world and some are ladies I've only just discovered. Regardless, here are my...

The Blogs that Make You Think

I love a blogger who can make me think.
Who can educate me about issues I might otherwise not research.
Who causes me to ruminate and grow in my faith.
These ladies have seriously schooled me.

A Hearty Overflow

Do you want to know what I love most about Laura? I mean, aside from the fact that she constantly strives to model Christ in every facet of her life? This girl has integrity. She blogs for no one but herself and I love that. What really attracted me to Laura, however, was her discussion of finances. While most of us would shy away from such an un-fun and at times, highly personal subject, Laura meets it head on and has some seriously good advice to deliver! Also, she's a beautiful photographer. Beautiful.

Birthing Beautiful Ideas

It should be no secret by now that I am absolutely fascinated with learning about pregnancy. Kristen is a feminist mom of three, grad student and a certified doula. Yeah, only slightly intimidating, right? Except that she's not at all! She's totally approachable and makes topics like childbirth, breastfeeding and even her husband's vasectomy easy to understand. If you're a current Mommy, mom-to-be or even a child-less creeper like me, she is such a good resource!

730 Days of Light

If I were to try and sum up this blog, well...I can't. Seriously, it's one of those things you just need to see for yourself. k* blogs about the meaning of life and finding your inner light with more insight, introspect and eloquence than I could ever hope to contain. Her New Year post was so beautifully written, I was honestly brought to tears. If you're looking for link-ups, giveaways or recipes, look elsewhere. But if you're looking for soul-probing wisdom and inspiration in seeking a purpose-filled life, k* is your girl.

Enjoy this Organic Life

Kristen comes from a background in nutrition, but also boasts of experience in organic farming. She believes in holistic nutrition and the beauty of whole foods. At any given time, you can find posts about eating local, Juicing 101,  and so.many.recipes like this one for Zucchini Hummus. Sometimes healthy eating is not easy to do, but Kristen is a wealth of information when it comes to pure and delicious eating for mind, soul and body!
