Guest Post: Kate @ Green Fashionista

Hey there, I'm Kate from Green Fashionista and I'm super excited to be guest posting for Kaity while she's off celebrating being a newlywed on her fabulous honeymoon :)

I still can't believe my honeymoon with my H was over 2 years ago, where does the time go?! We flew out to Vegas the day after our wedding for a couple days before renting a car and driving 4 hours through the desert to LA to catch a flight to Fiji.

We were gone for almost 2 weeks including the travel time. It was the best of both worlds, we celebrated in Vegas, took the scenic root to LA in our rental car and got to stop off at the Hoover Dam, and got to relax in paradise in Fiji. When we arrived at The Mirage to check in we got a free upgrade to a suite just for being Facebook fans. So, ladies remember if you have a trip coming up to Vegas (or anywhere for that matter) "like" the resort on FB and you may get some freebies ;) When we got to our beautiful room, we realized we had a corner unit with a pool view, and there was a bottle of complimentary champagne chilling on ice for us.

Enjoying my morning coffee at the pool on our 1st morning in Vegas

We enjoyed the pool area for a while before heading over to Bare where we reserved a day bed for the afternoon.

The next day, we rented a car and drove to LA stopping at the Hoover Dam along the way.

The drive to LA was neat, we drove through the desert and then we hit the mecca that is many highway changes in LA. Thankfully, we brought our GPS :-P

We took a big double decker plane for our 10 hour flight from Los Angeles to Nadi, Fiji. Then we got on an itty bitty little plane from Nadi to Taveuni. Our journey still wasn't over yet! We then took a boat from Taveuni to the island of Qamea which is where our resort was, Qamea Resort & Spa.

We chose Qamea because it only accommodates up to 34 people at a time and everyone has a waterfront bure (villa) and all gourmet meals were included as well as most activities.

Our honeymoon bure

We had a private courtyard with an outdoor shower and jetted tub
We spent our days relaxing and going on different tours. We hiked to the waterfalls at Bouma National Park, went kayaking, snorkeling, and did an afternoon trip to Honeymoon Beach where they drop you off on your own private beach for the afternoon with a picnic lunch.

I also loved relaxing at their rock form pool

We had an amazing trip, and it was definitely the trip of a lifetime. I can't wait for Kaity to come back and share with all of us her amazing trip with her new hubs :)
