What I'm Loving Wednesday v7

Oy vey! I think it'd be an understatement to say my blogging has been a little sporadic lately. But I'm finally ready for some more wedding updates (because with 2+ months to go it's pretty much all I can think about) and what better day to do it than on...

Today, I'm loving...

My Bridal Shower!

The invitations are out and my Mommy and I are busy planning a...MAD HATTER TEA PARTY! Check out the adorable invites my Mom made for the occasion:

We had planned to put this confetti in our wedding invites,
but figured this was a much better use of it.

I've been a Pinteresting troll the past few days looking up all kinds of fun Alice-inspired ideas:

Not like it's remotely possible, but check out this amazing cake!

Only two and a half weeks away! I can't wait!

Hair and Makeup

I made an appointment with my favorite salon in Wilmington to have my Mom's, bridesmaids' and my hair done on the big day! Chuck and I decided to road trip it to Ohio this weekend so I'm putting the deposit down then. In the mean time I've been plotting what to do with my hair and drawing inspiration from these lovely Pinterest finds:

Five-strand braid. Say what?!

Fishtail braid.
Voluminous side braid.

It was my original plan to wear my hair down, but I didn't want my face or the top of my dress to be covered so I opted for this style which matches the down-to-earth, hippie feel of our wedding. I also put to good use the makeup my Mommy bought me a couple months ago for the occasion.

Although I could still use some practice with false eyelash application, I think I did a pretty good job!

Bridesmaid Gifts

Gotcha! Although, I did place my order on Etsy for them two nights ago, there's no way I'm posting them where my girls can see! I picked out something a little corny and cliche, but I thought it would be fun for all my girls. And with ladies as amazing as mine, I want to make sure they know how special they are to me.

I think we've finally reached the point where time is starting to fly by. We're both anxious for the day to get here and with just over two months to go, it's pretty much all either one of us can think about.

  1. That Alice cake is crazy!!

  2. I am in love with your shower idea. So super cute. Can't wait to get to know you better. I found you on Blogaholic! Follow back if you like. I also love that you called the wedding the-event-that-shall-not-be-named!
