Life is What Happens...

So remember that thing I was in need of prayers for not too long ago (A Call for Prayers)? Well, turns out, I lost it and I was probably even more devastated than I thought I would be. I went through the various stages of grief: crying at work and making all my co-workers uncomfortable, screaming and cussing up a storm to my patient and loving hubby and then accepting the fact that some things are just not meant to be.

I was surprised at just how upset it made me, but I was also surprised by how quickly I got over it. All I needed was a little perspective. I'm engaged to the love of my life, I received some of the nicest comment love on my blog which completely brightened up my day, I'm in Pittsburgh attaining a graduate degree. As much as I've questioned whether I should be here, time and time again God has continued to show me that for whatever reason, this is where I need to be.

So as I continue to swim through the endless sea of final papers and projects for the next week, I will praise God for leading me to exactly where I am. I don't know the plans He has for my life and you'd think I would've stopped trying to predict them by now. But He has yet to lead me astray, so I will continue to trust that everything happens for a reason.

  1. Powerful quote to remember. I can say everything happen for a reason, we might not see it from where we are but one day it will all make sense. God knows best, we just have to keep faith and remain patient.
May God bless you with many joys in the future and may you always remember the blessings you have in your life. Have a lovely evening. Marie

  2. That's a great mindset you've adopted! Just remember that there will be a tomorrow. There will be a next week. There will be a next month and perhaps by then, things will have changed for the better. Think about happy/positive memories. Such as all the good things you've experienced, felt, and achieved thus far; and consider how many more good things could be waiting ahead. This should reinforce you and make you feel better. Never let a few obstacles get the best of you and, in the midst of it all, always remind yourself that "this too shall pass". Have a good night! :)
